Service: Data Management Planning
The UNM Libraries' Research Data Services provides support for effective research data management planning, and can assist with developing a data management plan (DMP) which meets the requirements of funders including the NSF, Department of Defense, the NIH, and others. RDS provides assistance in developing data management strategies and workflows around:
- Data discovery and citation
- Data collaboration, storage, and backup
- File format and documentation standards
- Research-area specific repositories and archives
- Meeting publisher and funder data sharing requirements

Cost to users and departments
There is no charge for DMP consultations or workshops on data management topics. Specific costs relevant to grant related data management workflows and infrastructure, where applicable, will be assessed in consultation.
